Baby Cheese
Baby Cheese - Klari

A rare and endangered pimento type, this ancient variety originates in Hungary. Ideal for pickling whole, and use in cooking and for sauces. Thick walls, juicy texture with a medium sweet flavor. Produces an abundance of round, "tomato chili" type fruits that ripen from yellow to orange to red. Heirloom grown from seed in high quality soil.

Banana
Banana- Goddess (F1)

For pickling or fresh eating. Long, thick-walled, smooth fruits are borne on large plants. Avg. 8-9" long, the fruits are mildly sweet when yellow and moderately sweet when they ripen red.

Michigan Wonder
Bell Pepper - Michigan Wonder

If you like green bell peppers, you will love Michigan Wonder– a beautiful pepper with a satisfying crunch! Peppers are blocky and medium sized (4-5” long), with thick walls. Fruits will eventually ripen red, but people really love Michigan Wonder as a green pepper. This pepper, originally released in 1939 by Burgess Seed and Plant Co. of Galesburg, MI, is descended from the traditional California Wonder heirloom but adapted to our shorter, cooler growing seasons. Grown from seed in high quality soil.

Red Knight
Bell Pepper - Red Knight (F1)

Improved King Arthur type. Big, blocky fruits are early to turn red. Stronger disease resistance than King Arthur and a more compact, open plant. Flavor is fruity and sweet.

Black Hungarian
Black Hungarian

Back by popular demand, this is one of our favorite peppers. Looks like a black jalapeño and has a similar heat level. Ripens to the richest dark red, very flavorful and fruity. Heirloom grown from seed in high quality soil.

Cayenne

Big, productive hybrid plants produce extra long cayenne peppers that dry quickly. They are a bright crimson and have a sweet-hot flavor. Grown from seed in high quality soil.

Cornito - Arancia
Cornito - Arancia

A smaller size bullhorn pepper, exceptionally sweet and flavorful. Ripens well in the north. Plants are sturdy with plenty leaf cover to avoid sun scald. An All-America Selections winner. Grown from seed in high quality soil.

Carmen
Corno di Toro - Carmen (F1)

Early maturing fruit on medium-sized 20" plants can be harvested at green or allowed to ripen to a deep red. Unbelievably sweet and crisp flavor won the hearts of the All-America Selections committee in 2006, and growers have been dedicated to it ever since.

Escamillo
Corno di Toro - Escamillo (F1)

A sweet golden bullhorn pepper with crisp, juicy walls and excellent flavor. Prolific yields from vigorous, 22" plants that are slightly larger than Carmen. Good for eating raw, frying or sautéing.

Fish Pepper
Fish Pepper

This pepper is a stunning feast for the eyes! Leaves are multicolored in tie dye patterns of lavender, cream, violet, sea-foam and forest green, making it one of the most ornamental of peppers. Tall, stocky plants produce striped peppers, about as spicy as a jalapeño, that ripen to a deep red. Try this dazzling edible ornamental in containers or borders, anywhere its ornate foliage can be admired. Grown from seed in high quality soil.

Fresno
Fresno - Flaming Flare

One of our favorite peppers, their flavor is sweet, mildly hot, and very good. Excellent for fresh use, stir fries, sautéing, and hot sauce. AAS Winner, hybrid. Grown from seed in high quality soil.

Habanero - Venus
Habanero - Venus

A true habanero that’s earlier and more productive than other strains! Beautiful, long, red, wrinkled, lantern-shaped fruits measure 3 to 4”. Thin walls allow for drying, but fresh they have a lovely tropical flower scent. Grown from seed in high quality soil.

Hatch Valley
Hatch Valley

An Anaheim type that performs well in the north. The fruits are large and thick-walled, making them suitable for frying and stuffing. But our favorite use for this very mildly spicy pepper is to bulk up chili. The very large plants have good leaf cover to protect the fruits from sunscald. Fruits average 7" long x 2" wide. Grown from seed in high quality soil.

Hungarian Hot Wax
Hungarian Hot Wax

Productive even in cool weather. Yellow hot pepper with 5 1/2" x 1 1/2" smooth, waxy fruits tapering to a point. Easy to stuff and to peel after roasting; thick-fleshed for frying. Its sunset-ripening peppers change from yellow to orange to red, and make the prettiest pickled peppers.

Jalapeno- Arriba Yellow
Jalapeno- Arriba Yellow

High-yielding yellow jalapeño. Pale yellow to start, the 3 1/2–4" long fruits transition to an orangey red, finally ripening to bright red. Though typically eaten yellow, fruits can be consumed at any stage of ripeness. Medium-size plants have high yield potential. An excellent salsa ingredient, Arriba is also delicious either as a substitute or an addition to recipes calling for green jalapeños. Also known as a "Caribe" type pepper.

Jalapeño - Black Magic

A unique deep, dark green, almost black, hybrid jalapeño that has a mildly spicy flavor with a floral note. Highly productive, the medium sized plants will produce an impressive number of 3-3.5” thick-walled fruits. If left unharvested, fruits will eventually mature to red. The gorgeous peppers stand out from the medium green plants making for easy harvest. Grown from seed in high quality soil.

Productive, vigorous plants yield multitudes of extra smooth, dark green fruit. Highly disease resistant plants tolerate and produce through many climatic variables. Extra-long fruits make plants perfect for growing conditions that may cause fruit to shorten. Fruit are resistant to cracking, have wonderful flavor, and have the perfect amount of heat.

Beautiful hybrid plant grows to 30" and gets loaded with these huge, juicy, extra thick-walled 4-5" mild jalapeño peppers. Grown from seed in high quality soil.

Lemon Drop
Lemon Drop

An heirloom seasoning pepper from Peru that ripens to a clear lemon yellow, sometimes with a dark purple blush. The flavor is a very clean, uncomplicated, slightly citrusy heat. Great for jellies and preserves, and it also dries very well. The plant is large and gets covered with attractive peppers. Grown from seed in high quality soil.

Picnic Orange
Picnic Orange

Deep orange color with a rich sweet pepper flavor. The orange Picnic Pepper is sweet tasting and has a lovely warm color. Selected for thick walls, flavor, strong yields and an upright plant habit.

Picnic Red
Picnic Red

Small red peppers have unbelievable sweetness and a rich complex flavor. Bred with an emphasis on flavor, yields and plants that stand up straight for easy harvest.

Picnic Yellow
Picnic Yellow

Vivid bright yellow with a bright, sweet/tart taste. The yellow Picnic Pepper has a nice tart flavor with good complexity and a nice crisp crunch. Selected for upright plant habit, good flavor and thick walls. 3-5" fruits.

Poblano
Poblano

Hybrid plants are tall, vigorous, and have an excellent yield potential. The 2 and 3-lobed fruits are smooth, shiny, and very dark green. Also known as Ancho Peppers, they are 5–6" long x 3" wide. Grown from seed in high quality soil.

Red Savina
Red Savina

A habanero type that has been selectively bred to be larger, heavier, and with thicker walls. Very hot. Plants is lovely, easy to grow and productive. An excellent pepper for sauces. Grown from seed in high quality soil.

Salvatierra
Salvatierra

Hybrid pepper that is vigorous and productive with heavy yields. Plant is upright and supports itself well. Ripens to a very dark chocolate color with good heft and uniform size/shape. Mildly spicy, good for drying, a traditional ingredient of Molé. Grown from seed in high quality soil.

Serrano
Serrano - Altiplano

Grow impressively large Serrano peppers at 4 1/2-5" long. Altiplano hybrid peppers are still faster to harvest than types with smaller fruits, but still have the traditional Serrano flavor and pungency. Medium-large plants. Grown from seed in high quality soil.

Shishito
Shishito

Mild Japanese pepper for roasting, pan-frying and grilling. Thin walls blister and char easily when roasted or grilled, taking on rich flavor that is delicious with coarse salt and lemon juice. The occasional fruit will display heat. Typically harvested and used green, but eventually turns orange and red with sweeter flavor.
